4Seems good  Nov 17, 2008
It's very small and light. I'm not sure if it's reliable in nonoptimal conditions, e.g. rinsing mouth with water or soft drinks minutes before using it. Nevertheless, it increases confidence on taking a car after drinking.

4I don't know how well this works  Oct 10, 2008
I have nothing to compare this to so I gave it 4 stars because it does work, but it seems expensive for such a little item that is about the same size as a car alarm remote. It is designed to be put on a keychain but there is no way in hell I would do that. Dirt can easily get inside the open holes and screw up the accuracy. This is too expensive for that.

It really should have a small carrying case. The one thing I don't like about it is that you have to put your mouth on the top part of the outercase. There are no protective sleeves. I guess you are just supposed to lug this around in your pocket and then put it in your mouth when you are testing. Then you pass it around to your friends. Gross!

I got this device for personal reasons.

When I first go it, I blew a .000 since I had nothing to drink. Then I rinsed my mouth with Scope, and blew a .200. That is about 2.5 times the legal limit. After about 10 minutes or so it did go down to .000, so I know it works at least.

4happy with my purchase  Oct 05, 2008
I have used this unit on two occasions and I've felt that it has been accurate. Although I have not used it as a tool to gauge my cosumption for driving (as I was not the DD) it has helped me to watch my intake in general :) It's quite a handy little device.

4it's great and it works  Sep 19, 2008
this product really is small and light enough to be kept on a key chain. it works (although i haven't tested it with alcohol.) i trust that it will work then also. i use it for my high school son, who is all for it. his friends have been drinking, and one got a dui. my son would rather me test him once a month, than have words over it or questions. the poor kid with the dui wished someone had tested him the night he drove home. he's facing a lot of trouble now. as others have mentioned, remember that they say that it only goes up to .2.

5Good Value  Sep 15, 2008
I have found the Breathkey to be very accurate, giving results that I would expect. It is important to properly follow the instructions. The Breathkey is less expensive and more convenient than the larger breathalyzers. A real value for the money!
